Tickets for the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres are sold on the Fundació's website and cost from €18.50 (reduced from €15; free for ages 0 to 8). From 1 October to 31 December it opens Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 to 18:00, and in July and August every day, 9:00 to 20:00.

The Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres has a ticket desk, but the sensible thing is to arrive with your ticket already bought: it costs from €18.50 and the museum opens Tuesday to Sunday for most of the year. Here is what to know before leaving Cadaqués: the hours for each season, who gets in free, when there is a night visit, where to leave the car and which bus to take.

How to buy a ticket

The Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí always recommends buying online, on its website. There is a ticket desk at the main entrance, but its FAQ warns that whether tickets are left depends on the museum's capacity. After buying you receive a confirmation document: download it and show the booking code at the desk or the door.

If the ticket is not collected at the stated time, the booking is cancelled and you only get in if there is room. There are no changes or refunds for reasons outside the museum's control; to change the date, the Fundació asks you to contact the museum. For gifts there is Regala Dalí, an undated ticket: whoever receives it chooses the day and time slot later.

Prices and who gets in free

Prices checked in October 2026. A general ticket costs from €18.50, and a reduced one from €15: students over 18 with proof, young people aged 9 to 17, Carnet Jove holders, retired people over 65, people with a 33% disability and their companion, and large or single-parent families. A ticket with a guided tour costs €26.50 (€23 reduced), and groups of 25 or more pay €14 online and €16 at the desk.

Free entry for children aged 0 to 8, people with a 50% disability and their companion, the Friends of the Dalí Museums, accredited press and ICOM members. The FAQ adds that people with reduced mobility also get in free even if their disability is below 50%. Everyone needs a ticket, including those who don't pay.

There is one open day: at Dalí's own wish, on 6 January, Epiphany, entry is free for everyone. The only combined ticket the museum advertises is with La Pedrera in Barcelona; there is no discount with Portlligat and Púbol, as we explain in the Dalí triangle.

Opening hours by season

Checked in October 2026 on the Fundació's website. From 1 January to 22 March, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 to 18:00. From 23 March to 31 May, Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 to 18:00. In June, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 to 18:00. In July and August, every day, 9:00 to 20:00. In September, Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 to 18:00. And from 1 October to 31 December, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 to 18:00.

Outside summer it is closed on Mondays, except for special openings on 5 January, 30 March, 6 April, 25 May, 12 October, 9 November and 7 December. It is closed on 1 January and 25 December, and on 24 December it closes at 15:00. Last entry is 45 minutes before closing and the rooms are cleared 15 minutes before time. A full visit usually takes between an hour and a half and two hours.

The night visit, in summer

The night visit is called Dalí de Nit. The Fundació has run it since 1992 in the Theatre-Museum itself, with a glass of cava. It is a summer thing: in 2026 it ran from 1 to 23 August, from 21:30 to midnight, according to Time Out. There is none in autumn; next year's dates will appear on the Fundació's website.

Before you go in: bags, photos and no audio guide

You can't go in with rucksacks or bags worn on the back, or anything larger than 35 × 35 × 25 centimetres. There is a cloakroom in the foyer and you collect your things by the shops, at the exit. Photos are allowed without flash, but not with a tripod or selfie stick. Under-16s must be with an adult. There is no café or restaurant inside.

There is no audio guide either, and that is deliberate: the Fundació explains that Dalí conceived the museum as a single work of art, meant to suggest rather than be explained in detail. There are 24 rooms and more than one thousand five hundred pieces, and the Fundació itself recommends downloading the plan because the building is complicated. What is inside we cover in what to do in Cadaqués when it rains.

Getting there from Cadaqués and where to park

By car, the route is the one the Fundació gives for Portlligat, in reverse: the GI-614 to Roses and the C-260 to Figueres. The Fundació reckons about 40 kilometres between Figueres and Portlligat, next to Cadaqués. The museum is at plaza Gala i Salvador Dalí, 5, right in the centre and inside a restricted traffic zone, so you leave the car outside it.

Visit Figueres, the town's tourism website, lists the car parks. Free ones include Fossos, on carrer Nord (160 spaces); Parc de les Aigües, on carrer Rector Arnau (255 spaces); and the one at Sant Ferran castle, on Pujada del Castell (70 spaces). Paid: Passeig Nou (277 spaces), plaça Catalunya (367) and El Firal, on avinguda Salvador Dalí (118).

By bus, line 12 run by Moventis links Cadaqués bus station with Figueres bus station, via Roses. On its timetable for 1 September to 31 December 2026, the first bus of the day leaves Cadaqués at 06:45 and reaches Figueres at 07:55, an hour and ten minutes. There are few departures, so check the return before you go. More on the bus in getting to Cadaqués.
