The Gijón Aquarium cuts the standard ticket to 10 euros with Gijón's Tarjeta Ciudadana and to 15.50 euros with a large-family certificate, and members of UGT, CCOO and FASGA pay 18 euros with one child free, among other groups. You must show the document at the entrance.

A standard ticket to the Gijón Aquarium costs 21.50 euros, and for a family the bill climbs quickly. The good news is that its official website lists quite a few reductions that do not appear in the main price table: for large families, for holders of Gijón's Tarjeta Ciudadana and for a list of trade unions, companies and associations with agreements. This is what it says today, checked in October 2026, and what you need to bring for it to be applied.

The reduced fares in the table

The price table already includes reduced tickets for children aged 3 to 14, over-65s, people with disabilities and holders of a youth or student card, and under-3s go free; the amounts are in the Gijón Aquarium guide. What follows are the discounts that sit apart from that.

Large families

With an official large-family certificate (título de familia numerosa), the standard ticket for ages 15 to 64 drops to 15.50 euros; the reduced ticket for ages 3 to 14 to 11 euros, and the ticket for people with disabilities also to 11 euros.

The Aquarium asks people with disabilities or large families to show the official documents that prove it. Without the certificate in hand, the normal fare is charged at the entrance.

Gijón's Tarjeta Ciudadana

This is the biggest discount on the website: with Gijón's Tarjeta Ciudadana (the city card), the standard ticket costs 10 euros, and the reduced ticket for ages 3 to 14 and the over-65 ticket 8 euros each.

There are two conditions. The card is shown at the entrance, and only its holders can use it: it does not reduce the ticket of a companion who does not have one.

Trade unions, companies and associations with agreements

On its page of discounts for groups and organisations, the Aquarium website posts a table valid until 31 December 2026. The general condition is the same for everyone: you must show an original, named document proving your link to the organisation.

The most common offer is an adult ticket at 18 euros with one child free. It applies to members of UGT and FASGA, with their membership card, and to members of CCOO, with a membership certificate showing their dues are paid up. It also applies to employees of CAPSA, Química del Nalón and Asturiana de Zinc/Glencore, with their staff card, and to those of Isastur and the other group companies listed in the table, with a company letter or a payslip.

The Colegio Oficial de Veterinarios de Asturias (the Asturian veterinary association) has a slightly better price: adult at 16 euros plus one child free, with the association card. Members of Mundo Campista get 2 euros off the standard ticket, and the table gives Club Cultura «2 € descuento entrada adulto + 1€ entrada niño» (2 euros off the adult ticket plus 1 euro for the child ticket), on showing its card.

For exchange students, the agreement with Erasmus Student Network (ESN) sets the ticket at 12 euros, whether alone or in a group; when the group has more than 20 people, the coordinators go free with advance notice. Official guides from APIT Asturias go free with their card, and travel agents get 50 % off the standard ticket, plus 1 euro for the foundation, after emailing the sales department.

Groups and the annual pass

From 20 people there is a non-school group fare, booked in advance: 14 euros standard, 9 for children aged 3 to 14, 10.50 for over-65s and 8 for people with disabilities. A guide costs 50 euros, with a maximum of 25 people per guide.

The Pase Anual B! annual pass costs 50 euros for adults, 38 for children and 38 for seniors, and there is a triple pass for 75 euros: three adult passes that cannot be used at the same time. Each pass includes a contribution of 2.50 euros to the Fundación BIOPARC. With the standard ticket at 21.50 euros, the adult pass pays off from the third visit of the year. The holder also gets 10 % off the standard ticket for up to three companions.

Buying online and other perks

The Aquarium website encourages you to save by buying tickets online, but its price page does not list a different price for online purchases. What does change, according to its FAQ, is access: at the ticket office you can go in at any time during opening hours, while buying online means choosing a time slot, with one hour to get in.

Since the summer of 2026 there has also been a network of Establecimientos Amigos del Acuario (Friends of the Aquarium): shops, cafés and cultural venues in Gijón with a sticker at the door and a QR code that unlocks a perk for visiting the Aquarium. The website does not say what it is.

Checked

Prices and conditions checked in October 2026 on the official Bioparc Acuario de Gijón website: prices, the discounts-for-groups page and its table of agreements valid until 31 December 2026, the Pase Anual B!, the FAQ and the news item on the Establecimientos Amigos del Acuario.
